Digital Production Operator (On-Site)

Provides day-to-day digital production support while working closely with various internal departments processing artwork files through various device software in preparation for their printing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares a plan to execute the output of materials from the various prepress devices and executes that plan.
- Organizes outputted materials, all to be distributed to various production stations.
- Keeps an updated record of pending artwork.
- Willing to learn/operate all the various machines/software in the department.
- Maintains ongoing maintenance and cleaning schedules for all machines and workspaces one within the department.
- Troubleshoots various prepress devices, seeks troubleshooting assistance when appropriate, with permission schedules technicians, & documents errors / cause / solutions.
- Calculates inventory of various prepress materials, to be ordered by management.
- Performs assigned upkeep maintenance to various digital production devices as scheduled to ensure all devices work properly.
- Understands attention to detail is essential when striving for error free work in all aspects of the position.
- Prioritizes, balances & accomplishes workflow in accordance with job importance & deadlines; expectation to manage a workflow spreadsheet that prioritizes duties; expectation to execute and prioritize multiple tasks at once; expectation to perform in a fast-paced environment that meets daily, weekly & monthly deadlines.
- Maintains neat, organized file structure on all computers.
- Effectively communicates with fellow employees via internet, phone, or face to face when needed.
- Operates in a team environment while independently and collectively working toward similar goals.
- Maintains neat, organized desk space, especially prior to leaving the building.
- Performs other duties as needed.

Equipment & Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and some Adobe knowledge is a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
- Additional equipment you will encounter includes but is not limited to: Fujifilm Acuity 3200R Wide Format Press, Konica Minolta C6085 Digital Presses, Canon C1000 Digital Press, Kornite Atlas DTG Presses, Melco Embroidery, Kodak Trendsetter Plate Setter, Platerite 4300 Platesetter, Mutoh Microcut Automated Paper Cutter, & a Xante En-Press Envelope Printer.

Education Requirements
- Preferred (but not required) Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) in Graphic Design or similar degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Printing industry experience, prepress experience and/or experience is desired but not required.
